1Who we are

ExtermExpress is a pest control company located at 1442 Yves-Thériault Avenue, Montréal, Québec H1A 5L5. This policy applies to extermexpress.ca and to the information you send us through its forms, by phone or by email.

2Person in charge of personal information

As required by Law 25, the person in charge of the protection of personal information at ExtermExpress is:

3Information we collect

We only collect the information needed to answer your request:

• your contact details: first name, last name, phone number, email address;
• the service location: city or area and, if you provide it, the address;
• the details of your request: type of pest, type of property, urgency, preferred date and time, description of the situation;
• photos you choose to email us to identify a pest;

We do not collect any payment information on the site, nor any sensitive information as defined by law.

4Why we use it

• to call you back and prepare a quote;
• to schedule and carry out the treatment and the follow-up visit;
• to honour the guarantee for your treatment;
• to answer your questions.

We do not use your information for any other purpose without your consent, and we never sell or rent it.

5Your consent

By sending us a form, you consent to your information being used for the purposes described above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the person in charge; we will then stop using your information unless the law requires us to keep it.

6Who can access it

Only the ExtermExpress staff who need it to handle your request can access it. To operate, the site uses a few service providers:

• FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which forwards form submissions to our mailbox;
• Google (Gmail), which hosts our mailbox;
• the website host, which keeps the usual technical logs of a web server.

These providers may process information outside Québec, including in the United States. Before entrusting them with information, we assess that they offer adequate protection, as required by law.

7Cookies and external resources

The site uses no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. Any display preferences stay in your browser. To display fonts and some animations, the site loads files from Google Fonts and cdnjs (Cloudflare): these services receive your device's IP address, as with any web page. If we add an analytics tool, this policy will be updated and your consent requested where required.

8How long we keep it

We keep your information as long as needed to handle your request, carry out the treatment and honour the guarantee, and then as long as our legal and tax obligations require. It is then securely destroyed or anonymized.

9How we protect it

Exchanges with the site are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to our mailbox is password-protected and limited to authorized people. If a confidentiality incident presented a risk of serious injury, we would notify the people concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, and keep an incident register, as required by law.

10Your rights

At any time, you can:

• ask to access the information we hold about you;
• ask that it be corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
• withdraw your consent or ask that it be deleted when it is no longer needed;
• ask that it be provided to you in a structured, commonly used technological format.

11Changes

We may update this policy, for example if we add a new tool to the site. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of the page.
